TikTok creators get paid for calls by turning the questions in their comments into one-to-one conversations. Put your call link where TikTok allows it, answer one comment per video and point to a call for the rest, use LIVE to show you're reachable, and set online hours that match your viewers' evenings. On a paid chat platform such as hello.fan, those viewers can call you by video, voice or chat and pay by the minute.

Why do TikTok viewers call?
Because TikTok shows your videos to people who have never met you, and some of them stay. Read your comments with fresh eyes: "how do I start?", "can you do mine?", "what would you do in my situation?" Each of those is a request for your attention, one person at a time — and a video can only answer it for everyone at once.
A call answers it for one person. That is what fans pay for: not more content, but you, focused on their question for a few minutes.
Can you put a link in your TikTok bio?
TikTok decides which accounts can add a website to their bio, and the rules have changed over time — check your own profile settings. If you can, put hello.fan/yourname there with one line above it: "Talk to me live ↓".
If you can't yet, you still have options:
- Say it out loud.
hello.fan/yournameis short enough to say in a video and remember. - Show it on screen for a few seconds at the end of a video.
- Pin a comment under your most-watched videos with the link written out.
- Point to your other profiles — an Instagram or YouTube bio where the link works.
Which videos bring callers?
- Answer-a-comment videos. Reply to one question on video, then: "If you want me to look at yours, I'm taking calls tonight."
- "I'm online tonight" videos. Short, direct, with the time on screen.
- "Three things people call me for." Helps viewers picture their own call.
- Behind the scenes of getting ready for a call window — your setup, your notes. Never film a caller or their screen; calls are private.
- Ready-made videos from the Promote kit in your hello.fan dashboard — they already carry your link.
You don't need to make every video about calls. One in five is plenty; the rest keep doing what grew your account.
What should your call page say for TikTok viewers?
Someone arriving from a 20-second video knows one thing about you: that video. Your page has to connect the two. Use the same name and photo as on TikTok so they know they're in the right place, and write your headline in the words your comments use — if people ask "can you fix my form?", your headline says "Quick form checks, live". List three things a call is for, and set prices that make a first try easy: on hello.fan video costs at least as much as voice, voice at least as much as chat, and chat can even be free. A viewer who is shy on camera will often start with chat.
How do you use TikTok LIVE without giving everything away?
LIVE is one-to-many: great for energy, bad for personal questions. Use it to show people you're reachable, then move the personal questions to one-to-one:
- "That's a really good question for a call — I'm online right after this LIVE."
- "I can't look at everyone's here, but I'll take calls for an hour after we finish."
Going online on hello.fan right after a LIVE is one of the most natural moments to get calls: the people still watching already want more of you.
What do you write in captions and comments?
Short and specific beats clever. Some lines that work:
- "Full answer on a call — link in bio."
- "Taking calls Thu 7–9 pm. Five minutes is enough."
- "Shy? Chat works too. No camera needed."
When someone asks a big question in the comments, reply with a short answer and an offer — never a lecture. More ready lines are in our templates.
What about viewers in other countries?
TikTok audiences are often spread across time zones and languages. Two things help:
- Set working hours for their evenings, not yours. On hello.fan your working hours switch you online and offline by themselves, and the Android app rings like a phone call when someone calls.
- Switch on live translated subtitles. In 30 languages, a viewer who doesn't speak yours can read what you say during the call, and chat translates itself.
What does a weekly TikTok routine look like?
| Day | On TikTok | On your call page |
|---|---|---|
| Monday | A video with this week's call hours | Check your working hours |
| Tuesday | Answer a comment on video | Online in the evening |
| Wednesday | Regular content | Answer Icebreakers and Super Hellos |
| Thursday | LIVE, then "I'm online now" | Online right after the LIVE |
| Weekend | Regular content, pinned comment refreshed | One afternoon window |
How do you know which videos send people?
"Your link at work" in your hello.fan dashboard shows the visits that came from your link and where they came from. Compare weeks: did the comment-answer videos send more visits than the "I'm online" ones? Keep what works, drop what doesn't.
Which TikTok mistakes cost you calls?
- Only saying "link in bio" when there is no link in bio. Say the address instead.
- Announcing calls at 3 a.m. for your viewers. Check where they live.
- Taking people to another app to talk. You lose billing, privacy and the safety tools: block and report in every call, and nothing is recorded.
- Turning your account into an ad. Viewers came for your content; calls are the extra for the ones who want more.
The short version
Read your comments as call topics, make the link easy to find or easy to say, use LIVE to show you're reachable, and be online when your viewers are free. Fans pay only while you're connected — ringing is free — and creators keep up to 70% of what fans pay, with no monthly fee. See also the pages for influencers and for streamers.
