Every platform promises big numbers. Here is the honest version: earnings from paid calls are simple arithmetic — your rate, the minutes fans spend with you, and the share you keep.
The formula
Earnings = rate per minute × minutes talked × your share.
On hello.fan your share is 60% of what fans pay (70% while your linked store.fan shop is an active paid seller). There is no monthly fee and no charge to create your page.
Three realistic scenarios
| Starting out | Steady | Busy | |
|---|---|---|---|
| Rate (video) | $1.50/min | $3/min | $6/min |
| Minutes a week | 60 | 180 | 400 |
| Fans pay a week | $90 | $540 | $2,400 |
| You keep a week | $54 | $324 | $1,440 |
Sixty minutes a week is six ten-minute calls. Most creators don't need a big audience for that — they need a visible link and a few evenings online.
What moves the numbers
- Being reachable. Online hours are your shop's opening hours.
- Returning fans. A fan who calls every week is worth more than ten one-off calls. Weekly sessions make it automatic.
- Gifts. On hello.fan fans can send gifts with a private note during or between calls; you keep your share of those too.
- Language. Live translated subtitles open your page to fans who don't speak your language.
Getting paid
hello.fan pays out through Stripe to your bank. Earnings become withdrawable 14 days after they're earned, and withdrawals start at $50. Before your first payout you verify your ID once — that also earns you the blue Verified badge on your page.
